Thanks to all who helped bring a smile to a child’s face this holiday season through the Salvation Army “Angel Tree” program, which provides new clothing and toys for families in need. In 2022, Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran, Hamden, Connecticut, supported 10 children from four families in the Greater New Haven area.
Similar to Christmas 2021, the congregation provided all of the children on our list with clothing — shoes, shirts and pants — plus three additional gift requests. Each request — 40 in all — was represented by one “Angel Tag” on our “Angel Tree.”
Thanks to all of our shoppers as well as those who contributed cash donations toward this project. More than 40 gifts were purchased and delivered to the Salvation Army in New Haven on Monday, Dec. 12, for distribution to our Angel families in time for Christmas.
