Christ the Good Shepherd’s Congregational Council has set the following worship schedule for the remainder of the Easter season and beyond:
Sundays, May 9, 16 and 30–Worship will be at our “hillside campus,” 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden, at 10 a.m. On the 9th, we will resume receiving Communion with both bread and wine, using individual cups for the distribution of wine.
Sunday, May 23, Pentecost Sunday–We will join the people of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Haven, at 10:15 a.m. for worship on this festival day to celebrate the Confirmation of two of our young people, Nicholas Papa and Samantha Kovacs, along with members of the Confirmation Class from Trinity Church. This has been a long-awaited day, delayed by the COVID pandemic. It is important that you register ahead of time for this special service by contacting our church office with the number of people from your household or family that you expect to attend.
Sunday, May 30–Holy Trinity Sunday. A celebration of the mystery and wonder of the God whose love is near and unending. Worship to be held at Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 600 Shepard Ave.
Sunday, June 6–We will gather at our “north campus” at 3680 Whitney Ave. for the final time and celebrate a closing service for the beloved Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd building. Former pastors David Kuck and Daphne Burt are planning to attend the service. A special social hour following the worship service is planned.
