As part of the congregation’s Mission activities in 2020, Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church helped spread Christmas cheer to 10 local children from four families in need through its participation in the Salvation Army’s 2020 “Angel Tree” program.
On December 7, project co-chairs Sharon Napolitano and Starr O’Connor delivered 10 bags of new clothing and toys to the Salvation Army in New Haven–one bag per child–on behalf of our congregation.
Thanks to everyone who filled gift requests or donated money toward this year’s project. Together, we were able to provide each child with new clothing as well as several other gift items on their wish lists, making a brighter Christmas for all.
