You could say the results were heartwarming. In less than two weeks’ time, the congregation of Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran, Hamden, rallied in generous support of the United Way of Greater New Haven’s “Week of Caring,” October 10-17. The church project, chaired by Leo Goodrich of Christ the Good Shepherd, garnered the following items for the United Way’s Cold-Weather Supply Kits:
- 12 sleeping bags
- 2 tents
- 5 blankets
- 6 pairs of gloves
- 3 pairs of socks
- 5 hats
The items were delivered to the United Way offices in New Haven on October 19 for distribution to organizations that serve those in need.
