“Ashes-to-Go” will be offered again this year outside Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 600 Shepard Ave., Hamden, as the Lenten season begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 14. Pastors from Christ the Good Shepherd Lutheran and Mount Carmel Congregational Church are teaming up for this drive-by event to mark foreheads of the faithful with ashes in the sign of the cross.
All are welcome to receive ashes as a sign of their mortality, their baptism and their Lenten journey. Ashes will be distributed from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Please remain in your cars.
